A quick drive down to Thorpe Bay to give the ND Filter another test. This time I knew I could focus through Live View. In retrospect I should have shot a long exposure, and a standard photo and could have composited the two so I could have had the boats sharp (rather than blurred due to the movement during the long exposure).
I still need a lot more practice.
